Call for Abstracts

The SONSIEL Collaborative Healthcare Innovation & Problem Solving (CHIRPS) Research Committee is delighted to announce we are including a call for abstracts to the #THInC Philly. This will provide an opportunity for engaging in discourse aimed at advancing healthcare innovation and scholarship, the nursing profession, and society-at-large. We invite nursing students and nurses from across the world to join us and share the innovative research you are engaged in (completed or works in progress) that advances our practice and profession and aligned with SONSIEL’s commitment to educating and empowering nurses to discover, invent, and pioneer products, processes, services, and platforms as entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs.

Thematic Areas

Globally, nursing practice is the cornerstone of compassionate healthcare delivery and continues to evolve to meet the demands of a dynamic world. In this stream, we are looking to showcase innovations in nursing practice including new models of care, emerging and transformative roles in nursing, cutting-edge technologies and digital tools, and integrated, equitable, value-based health care (VBHC) that are showing promising signs and impact towards addressing global health challenges.

Advancing Nursing Practice and the Future of Healthcare

By bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, we are building a future where education empowers nursing students to innovate, lead, and advocate for health equity worldwide. In this stream, we are looking to showcase creative ways of nursing discipline specific and interprofessional learning, leveraging digital tools (artificial intelligence, wearables, metaverse, virtual reality), faculty development, and other innovative strategies on how we prepare nurses and nursing students in the future to thrive in complex healthcare environments.

Reshaping and Transforming Nursing Education

Nurse leaders are transformation agents that inspire change, champion diversity, and lead with integrity, shaping a sustainable and equitable healthcare system for all. In this stream, we are looking to showcase innovations in entrepreneurship (e.g. start-ups, new business models) and intrapreneurship (e.g. innovation capacity building, creative funding models) that create opportunities for investment in innovations and professional growth for the next generation of innovative nurse leaders.
